At Atria, ensuring product safety begins right at the start of our food chain. The meat used for Atria’s products comes from our own contract producers, whose production conditions, animal welfare and rearing methods have been recorded. For this reason, the animal disease situation is good: animal diseases can be prevented effectively under good, hygienic conditions, and the use of unnecessary medication can be avoided.
The strict monitoring of Atria’s primary production and close cooperation with veterinarians and the control authorities enable animal diseases to be prevented, monitored and, if necessary, controlled actively and in real time as far as possible.
In the Nordic countries, nature favours food production. The northern climate and soil conditions provide the Atria food chain with clear benefits with regard to product safety and environmental responsibility.
