Cold chain from the store to your home

To ensure successful cooking at home, Atria seeks to provide instructions for the storage and handling of its products on the product packaging. By following the instructions, you can make sure that the quality and freshness of the products you purchase remain as high as possible all the way from the store to your table.

Always ensure that the cold chain remains intact all the way from the store to your home. If you are making a long journey, consider using a cool bag. As soon as you get home, put food products that must be chilled straight into the refrigerator. Check that the refrigerator is set to the correct temperature. The recommended temperature is +2 to +5 °C.

Always store easily perishable foods in the coldest part of the refrigerator. The coldest part of the refrigerator varies depending on the device. Normally, the coldest part is at the bottom, while the warmest part is the top shelf. Foods that have been cooked and chilled should be stored on the top shelf of the refrigerator to prevent them from transmitting flavours and aromas to other food.

The labels on food packaging will often state what temperature the food should be stored at. If you store food at a higher temperature than that stated in the storage instructions, the product may spoil before the use-by date indicated on the packaging.
